This training aims to help participants develop the French language skills needed to communicate with greater confidence, ease and autonomy in everyday and professional situations in France.
The objectives are defined during an individual diagnostic interview in order to take into account the participant's initial level, personal and professional context, communication needs and goals.
The training will enable participants to develop their ability to:
- understand and participate in everyday conversations in French;
- introduce themselves and talk about their personal and professional life;
- interact with colleagues, clients, service providers and other people in their daily environment;
- ask for and provide information in common everyday and professional situations;
- express their needs, opinions and preferences more clearly;
- handle common situations in French with greater confidence and autonomy.
Le déroulé, étape par étape
The programme is built around an individual diagnostic interview designed to identify the participant's initial level, communication needs, personal and professional context and learning objectives.
The content is adapted to the participant's needs and may include:
- introducing yourself and talking about your personal and professional background;
- engaging in and maintaining everyday conversations;
- making small talk and developing social interactions in French;
- asking for and giving information;
- understanding and responding to questions and requests;
- communicating with colleagues and other people in the workplace;
- handling everyday situations such as appointments, shopping, restaurants, accommodation and services;
- communicating by telephone and in online meetings;
- expressing opinions, preferences, needs and feelings;
- explaining a situation or describing a problem;
- dealing with unexpected situations and asking for clarification or assistance;
- developing vocabulary and language structures relevant to the participant's everyday and professional environment.
Learning activities include authentic conversations, role plays, practical situations, listening and speaking activities, personalised feedback and guided practice.
Participants also have access to our personalized online learning platform to practise and reinforce the skills developed during the coaching sessions.
Training delivery methods:
- individual coaching delivered online and/or face-to-face;
- hybrid training with an immersive component;
- intensive immersion over several days.
The immersive approach encourages the practical use of French in situations close to real-life and professional contexts, helping participants develop communication skills that can be transferred to everyday situations.
Assessment methods:
- initial assessment during the diagnostic interview;
- continuous assessment throughout the training;
- guided self-assessment;
- mandatory CLOE French certification at the end of the CPF-funded training.
The CLOE certification is conducted entirely online:
- written assessment completed online with asynchronous remote monitoring;
- oral assessment conducted by videoconference by appointment.
À la fin de la formation
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:
- communicate with greater ease and confidence in everyday situations in France;
- participate in conversations and maintain interactions with French-speaking people;
- understand and respond to questions and requests in familiar situations;
- express personal and professional information, needs and opinions more clearly;
- interact more independently with colleagues, clients and other people in their environment;
- handle common communication situations with greater autonomy.
The participant's level of French language proficiency is assessed through theCLOE Français langue étrangère – Communicate in a Professional Context certification (RS7671).
For CPF-funded training, sitting the CLOE certification is mandatory at the end of the training. The certification assesses written and oral French language skills in professional contexts and uses the levels of theCommon European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
