Als Netwerk Security Specialist staat de medewerker in voor de implementatie van ons security framework en het beheren van onze talloze firewalls en andere beveiligingsproducten.
De medewerker zal op korte termijn zelfstandig taken opnemen om Netwerk Security projecten te plannen en uit te voeren. Een goede communicatie en samenwerking met collega’s, maar ook met applicatie verantwoordelijken, technici, ingenieurs en lijnverantwoordelijken van de productieafdelingen is hierbij een must.
Technisch profiel :
– Analytisch en probleemoplossend denken
– Grondige kennis en ervaring in volgende domeinen
Hardware: Switches, routers (Cisco)
Technologieën/protocollen: Subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), LAN/VLAN, TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, FTP), Industriële netwerk protocollen (vb PROFINET).
Analyze van netwerk communicatie stromen (op basis van bvb WireShark traces of Firewall loggings)
Network Management (vb PRTG)
Security: Netwerksegmentatie, firewall, IPS, …
Ervaring met configuratie en beheer van Fortinet producten (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator…) is zeker een troef.
Ervaring met werken in een 24/7 productieomgeving. (voor alle duidelijkheid, kandidaat zelf werkt in dagverband)
Talen :
Vloeiende kennis Nederlands en Engels (of bereid dit op korte termijn te leren)

As a Network Security Specialist, the consultant is responsible for the implementation of our security framework and the management of our numerous firewalls and other security products. The consultant will independently take on tasks to plan and execute Network Security projects in the short term. Good communication and collaboration with colleagues, as well as with application managers, technicians, engineers, and line managers from the production departments is essential.
Technical Profile
– Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience
– Analytical and problem-solving thinking
– Thorough knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Hardware: Switches, routers (Cisco)
Technologies/protocols: Subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), LAN/VLAN, TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, FTP), Industrial network protocols (e.g., PROFINET)
Analysis of network communication flows (based on e.g., WireShark traces or Firewall logs)
Network Management (e.g., PRTG)
Security: Network segmentation, firewall, IPS, …
Experience with configuration and management of Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator…) is certainly an asset.
Experience with working in a 24/7 production environment (For clarity, the candidate works during the day)
